Year 1 Enjoy an African Workshop

Year 1 girls had a wild and wonderful time when this week, as part of their current “Out of Africa” themed creative topic, they enjoyed two special workshops.  The first was an African drumming session, where the girls learned some new percussion skills and rhythmic beats reflecting the energy of Africa.  Another real treat was an exotic animal showcase where the girls were able to get up  close and personal with some fantastic creatures, including meerkats, owls, tarantulas and a rather large constrictor!  See the photos below to get a flavour of the fun and educational day the Year 1 girls enjoyed.
