Learning about Judaism

As part of their study of Judaisam, Year 6 had a fascinating afternoon learning about the Jewish festival of Passover with Mrs Parish.   As well as finding out about why and how the festival is marked,   Mrs Parish also  got the girls thinking about related themes and events, past and present: the Atlantic Slave Trade, Kindertransport, Evacuation of children in World War Two, the partition of India in 1947, the plight of the Syrian refugees and present day slavery.  It was a thought provoking, interesting and interactive workshop which captured the girls’ attention and inspired them to find out more.
