Miss Gay ventured to Wimbledon Park with Year 5 today to visit the Wimbledon Mosque.
They enjoyed an informative and interesting visit that included a talk and tour from the Imam. The girls were welcomed with warmth and generous hospitality, enjoying some delicious refreshments following the tour.
Miss Gay was very impressed with how much the girls appreciated the calm and quiet atmosphere inside the Mosque and their interest in the unique features both inside and outside the building. It undoubtedly brought to life their learning about Islam.
All in all, it was a fantastic day out and the girls learnt so much more than they could have in a classroom R.E lesson!
