A Bronze at the Downsend Tournament

The Year 5A team went to Downsend to take part in a rounders tournament this weekend. There were a total of six schools taking part, and during the first game the girls worked extremely well as a team and their fielding was fantastic, preventing the opposition from scoring rounders. The girls went on to show brilliant batting skills which resulted in a win. They then played Halstead, the girls batting continued to be on excellent form and they scored an amazing 10 rounders.  The girls had three more matches to play, they lost against GHS but won against Hawthorns which meant it was a battle for silver against Downsend. The girls showed excellent teamwork , and were delighted to go home with a thoroughly well-deserved bronze medal. Well done girls!
