1666 London’s Burning!

Year 2 girls had a fascinating time when they came off timetable to enjoy a day’s “History off the Page” workshop based around The Great Fire of London, their current History topic.  The Small Hall was transformed into Pudding Lane, with stalls where the girls could try out various activities such as candle making, baking bread, and mixing herbs for the apothecary.  Some girls even became rat catchers in order to stem the spread of the Plague!  It was a wonderful interactive and a fun day full of learning, which helped bring this period of history to life even more!
