World Book Day 2021

News

04.03.2021

A World Book Day to remember.

Nurturing a love of reading is an important part of our curriculum, so World Book Day is always a big event for The Study and we didn’t let lockdown get in the way. From Frieda Kahlo to Paddington Bear and Sherlock Holmes, a whole host of book characters logged in to Zoom lessons today, along with a few unrecognisable teachers!

Take a look at our photo album from the day and read more below about the other ways we celebrated this week.

The London Children’s Book Project

This week we sent The London Children’s Book Project photos of our girls holding a book that Is special to them – it might be a book that they read repeatedly when younger, that they recall an adult reading to them, or one that they identify with now that they are older.

They’ve turned the pictures sent by us and other schools into a short film to raise awareness of their important work. Take a look below (we make an appearance at approx. 1 min 13!).
