Study girls enjoy writing and earlier this year we entered The Wimbledon Bookfest Young Writers Competition.

Study girls enjoy writing and earlier this year we entered The Wimbledon Bookfest Young Writers Competition.   The theme was ‘Outsiders’ and our entries included many different ideas including: moving to a new country, being a refugee, feeling excluded in a new school and a pet arriving in a new home!   There were 300 entries from over 40 different schools so we were delighted when we heard some of our entries had been commended and highly commended.  Congratulations to: Ella Thomas, Lauren Clarke and Hannah Richards at Wilberforce House and Megan Blount, Riley Rosen and Rania Payne at Spencer House.   Congratulations also to last term's Year 6 girls who were commended for their creative writing: Lucy Dennett, Navienaah Haridas and Hannah Parish.
