Girls get Creative for a Good Cause

Following Miss Cuerden’s sabbatical in Zimbabwe we are really pleased to be supporting two charities which she visited and did some volunteering. She told the girls all about the charities in assemblies at both sites and inspired the girls to take part in a fantastic competition, to create something over the half term break on the theme of African Wildlife Conservation.  Girls could draw or paint a picture, make a model or collage, write a poem or story but most importantly: be creative!!  We were overwhelmed with the response to the competition, and girls from all year groups excelled themselves and brought in the most fantastic entries (just a few are pictured below).  After much deliberation and a very difficult time deciding, the winners were announced as:

Freja Neeson, Reception

Sophia Norton, Reception

Olivia Richards, Year 1

Natasha Greenhough, Year 1

Hannah Hand, Year 2

Eloise McMahon, Year 2

Zara Rigby, Year 2

Arabella Harding-Buck, Year 3

Minnie Loftus and Michaela Wood, Year 3

Honor Hahn-James, Year 3

Ceci Russell, Year 4

Miranda Jagusch, Year 4

Satomi Brocklebank, Year 4

Inez Seaby, Year 4

Henrietta Poulton, Year 5
