‘Who Cares?’ art installation

News

Year 6 art is displayed in a Brixton art installation, celebrating the London Festival of Architecture.

What does care mean to Year 6? Miss Owen ran a workshop with Year 6 girls and captured their creative responses to a few simple questions about experiencing and giving care.

They were submitted to Squires & Partner, an Architects Office in Brixton, to add to their window display that was on show for the duration of the London Festival of Architecture.  The theme of the festival was Care and the art installation showcased what care meant to the residents and friends of Brixton.

The girls' responses were printed on seed-infused recycled paper and the messages are now being planted locally in Brixton. Their artwork will bloom into flower for the community to enjoy!
