Year 3 Trip to The Natural History Museum

Year 3 girls went to the Natural History Museum this week where they had an exciting day exploring the fascinating Earth section of the museum.  They loved travelling up the escalator which felt as though they were moving through the centre of the earth.  They learnt how the weather and elements affect the earth over a long period of time.  It was particularly exciting to experience an earthquake which took place in a simulated supermarket, and to handle and investigate rock, mineral and bone specimens in the Investigation Centre.  It was a fantastic day where the girls learnt so much about the scientific topics they are covering in the classroom.
