Success in the First Round of the Primary Maths Challenge

News

23.11.2017

Last week Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the annual Primary Maths Challenge.

This is a fun and exciting national mathematical challenge which encourages enthusiasm, boosts confidence in mathematics and shows the different ways questions can be asked.

The problem solving techniques involved in the challenge are a highly valuable means of helping pupils develop their reasoning skills. The girls approached the challenge with positivity and eagerness and should be most proud of their efforts!

We had a really good number of bronze and silver medals awarded and our seven gold medallists are eagerly waiting to see if they will be selected to go through to the next round in February.
