Planting, Chicks and Springtime Gardens!

To celebrate the start of Spring after the long and harsh winter, girls at the Study are busy getting prepared for warmer weather.  The Year 3 Gardening Club, run by Mr King and Ms Lopez, has been very busy indeed, planting up the Reception garden.  They have planted flowers, bulbs, herbs and even created a Nature Zone so that minibeasts can find sanctuary at The Study!

The Reception girls got into the swing of Spring by creating the most wonderful garden displays, which were proudly on show at our annual Open Morning on Saturday.  Reception were in for a real springtime treat when Alice from Deen City Farm came into school and brought with her “Socks” the hen, and an incubator of eggs.  The girls cannot wait to see the little chicks hatch.  Watch this space!
