Year 1’s Victorian Seaside Day

The sun was shining in the clear blue sky last week which could not have been more perfect for the Year 1 girls as they travelled back in time to experience how the Victorians enjoyed their trips to the seaside.  The Small Hall was bustling with an array of stalls, from seashell collage and vintage postcard stalls to learning about old style currency, Punch and Judy shows and Victorian high teas!  Both parents and girls came to school dressed in their Victorian finery, and then the girls went into the garden to enjoy a puppet show and had a chance to splash about in the warm weather. It was a great experience for the girls who are learning all about the seaside, and this helped bring history to life for them too!
