Prep Department Carol Service

Sacred Heart Church Wimbledon was filled to the rafters on Tuesday when the Prep Department delighted the congregation of parents with our very special annual Christmas Carol Service.

Girls from Years 3 – 6 sang, performed readings and played instruments, filling the church with wonderful festive music and seasonal cheer.

The Spencer House and Chamber choirs sounded beautiful, singing with passion a selection of well loved hymns and Christmas carols, all led at the start by a performance from our trio of harpists – Siara (Year 4), Lara (Year 5) and Kassie (Year 6).

Instrumentalists all shone through, including Imogen (Year 6) who performed a trumpet solo to Mary’s Boy Child.

Well done to all the girls, and many thanks to our staff musicians: Mr Dorman, Mrs Isfryn, Miss Jones and Mr Downes and of course, Head of Music, Mrs Brown, and Music Teacher, Mrs Lloyd who worked hard to bring together all of the elements of the magical service.
