Year 6A Win at Hawthorns and Netball Roundup

On Saturday 19th January the Year 6A netball team went to Hawthorns School for one of the biggest tournaments this year, hoping for the best after the team had reunited after being very busy with 11+ exams.  First, we played all the teams in our group and we were undefeated (we even beat Guildford High) which meant we came first in our group and moved on to the semi-finals.  In the semi-finals we came up against Hoebridge, who Year 6 haven’t beaten for years but we did beat them, not by much but one goal made the difference. Beating Hoebridge meant that we got into the finals against Halstead; we had already narrowly beaten them in our group stage so we knew that this would be a tough match.  WE PULLED THROUGH!  We managed to get the score to 4-4 and it was close to the end.  Ivy passed the ball to me and I got a goal! Then the whistle went. WE HAD WON THE TOURNAMENT!  If there was a player of the match, I would give it to Farrah because she was on fire with her defence that day.
