Year 2 Travel Back to 1666

Year 2 girls had a hugely interesting time when they came off timetable to enjoy a day’s workshop based around The Great Fire of London, their current History topic in class.  The Small Hall was transformed into Pudding Lane, with stalls where the girls could try out various activities such as candle making, baking bread, and mixing herbs for the apothecary.  Some girls even became rat catchers in order to stem the spread of the Plague!  It was a wonderful interactive and fun day full of learning and hands on experience, which will ensure that the girls enjoy learning about this important historic event even more!
