Hope for Malawi Assemblies

Girls at both Wilberforce and Spencer Houses enjoyed learning all about how their fundraising efforts last term for the charity Hope for Malawi (www.hopeformalawi .com), when charity representative Sara Goodman presented to the girls.  They learned how the funds the girls raised are used and that just £12 can feed a child in Malawi for one year.  They also learnt more about how children are schooled in Malawi, and how, because there is barely any furniture in the classrooms, the children sit on stones instead.  The Study girls tried this out by sitting on large rocks, so they could get a feel for what this may be like.  The assemblies brought to life the positive impact the girls’ fundraising makes to people through our support of our termly charities.
