Reception Den Building

As you can see from the photo above, this time last year, the Reception girls went into the great outdoors to build dens in the woods.  We are pleased to say that having to learn from home this term is not slowing our girls down! For their creative curriculum topic, “Into the Woods”, the girls received a picture of a den (see below) that appeared in the Reception play area. Obviously it was not the teachers who built it as they’re at home! What a mystery!

The girls described what they saw on the picture, labelled it and written questions to try and find out who made the den and who might be living there. They have also made some fantastic dens in their own homes or gardens, and made some small dens using dough.  Fun learning doesn’t stop just because we are not together at school!
