Helping Make Wishes Come True!

Year 6 presented their charity ideas to each other recently and then had a vote to decide which charity the school should support this term.  As usual, many fantastic charities were nominated but the one with the most votes was Make-a-Wish.  This charity grants wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life threatening conditions.  It was nominated by Theresa Boehm, Anais de Unger, Katarina Oestmann and Louisa Pohlen.  They have been telling all the girls about the charity in assemblies both at Spencer House and at Wilberforce House. Scroll down to read about Year 2’s fundraising intitiatives!

A major fund raising event was held during lunch play at Wilberforce House this week, organised by some Year 2 girls.  Groups who wanted to take part were responsible for organising their activity, designing the posters and sorting out the prizes. There were games, competitions and yummy cakes!  They did an amazing job and everyone had a lot of fun and worked together very well raising over £460 – an amazing result!  Well done girls!  You can learn more about this term’s charity on www.make-a-wish.org.uk.
