Today is Thanksgiving and we wanted to mark this special American holiday. The Catering team did a splendid job of serving up some delicious American fare at lunch – including Southern fried chicken, pumpkin casserole and delicious chocolate marshmallow brownies for dessert. Below is a picture of Catering Manager Dean with Charlotte, who is sporting the Stars and Stripes and standing next to a rather large pumpkin! Ava also enjoyed the celebrations and here she is wrapped in the American flag! At Spencer House, below is a picture of Indwen and all the American girls (including Mrs Brown!), who are enjoying Thanksgiving.

YEAR 3 THANKSGVIING ASSEMBLY
At a special Year 3 assembly, 3O wanted to share how thankful they are for everything they have, particularly for their friends and family. They learnt that not only did the Pilgrims give thanks, but they also had great dreams and ambitions. They dreamt of a new land where they could belong and have an identity. They hoped for freedom. Today, things are no different… we still have hopes and dreams in the world we live in and the girls loved sharing them with the rest of Wilberforce House.
