The Jewish Festival of Passover

Mrs Reiniger visited both Houses to tell the girls all about the Jewish Festival of Passover.  She told us Passover story and how Jewish families celebrate Passover today.  She ended the assembly by telling us the lessons we can learn from the Passover story which are relevant to all of us:

  • The story of Passover teaches us to value freedom
  • Passover reminds us that people should not try to impose their will or beliefs on others
  • In sad and difficult times it reminds us that Spring will always come again

The girls learnt about Passover and the symbolism of the Seder Plate – with representations of the foods which are symbols and reminders of the Passover story.
