Study Girls show their Mettle!

Last week, Year 5 and 6 girls went to Daneshill, to prove their mettle in the pouring rain for a very challenging cross country run. The girls had to navigate hilly terrain as well as running through mud which was extremely slippery due to the wet weather. All the girls ran exceptionally well, and a special mention must go to Sophie W who came 6th and Albane F who came 8th.   A great achievement for them and the school.

Sophie W and Albane F then ran in the ISA National Cross Country event on Saturday after qualifying at the regionals. The race included a number of steep hills, one was so steep that some of the girls had to crawl up it. The girls did extremely well with Sophie finishing in 12th position and Albane 16th. A fantastic achievement.
