Christingle Service at Westminster Abbey

News

05.12.2013

Year 3 girls and staff had a wonderful beginning to the Christmas season when they attended a Christingle Service organised by The Children's Society.

In the beautiful setting of Westminster Abbey the girls and staff thoroughly enjoyed the service which comprised hymns, readings, prayers  and an address by The Reverend Robert Wickham, Rector of St John’s, Hackney who dressed up as the angel Gabriel.  The highlight of the service was when all the congregation made a huge circle round the Abbey holding their lit Christingles.
