BizWorld UK is an organisation that inspires children to do extraordinary things and to have an entrepreneurial spirit: to lead confidently, think critically and creatively, be financially responsible, and understand the value of teamwork. It provides fun, project-based programmes that promote financial responsibility, leadership and teamwork skills for 10-13 year olds. Recently, the Year 6 girls were lucky enough to experience three days of workshops that opened their minds to becoming business leaders! The girls were divided into groups and came up with a business concept to bring to life through product design, financial planning, marketing and sales, all with plenty of encouragement from the Bizworld mentors. The focus was on jewellery and friendship bracelets and each team created beautiful designs, posters and campaigns to drive sales of their products, all the while working as a team and playing to strengths. The winning team, Gooseberry, showed exemplary teamwork and sold the most product, and we congratulate them on their entrepreneurial spirit!
