Year 1 Experience the Victorian Era!

The Year 1 girls went back in time when they visited Holly Lodge recently to find out about what life would have been like in a Victorian school. The girls dressed as Victorian school children in traditional clothing and experienced a very strict Victorian teacher, who had to be obeyed! They learnt about school punishments and wrote on slates. The girls decided that they were very lucky indeed to be at The Study!  They then had a trip to Fulham Palace to find out about toys in the past and compare them with toys today. They played with Victorian toys and looked at how toys have changed over time.  It was fascinating for the girls to experience the past in the way.
