A Literary Treat for Wilberforce House

The Wilberforce House girls were in for a real treat when children’s book author, Karen Inglis, came to visit the school this week.  Girls from Reception -Year 3 learned how her books are conceived and written, and also how the illustration process works.  Reception were delighted by Ferdinand Fox’s Big Sleep and loved hearing about how this charming rhyming story book came to be.  Year 1 focussed on Henry Haynes and the Great Escape, and Years 2 and 3 really enjoyed their taster of action-packed Eeek The Runaway Alien and Silver Lake.  Many thanks to Karen for her time and for providing the girls with such informative and inspirational sessions.
