Reception Enjoy a Trip to London Zoo

Reception girls are currently learning all about penguins and their habitat and to support their learning, they went on an exciting trip to London Zoo. As well as seeing the penguins at feeding time, a real highlight; they also saw all sorts of wild animals and exotic creatures, including turtles, snakes and lizards.  The girls walked through the butterfly house too which was a wonderful experience.

The girls took part in a classroom activity where they listened to a talk about mammals, reptiles and birds, had the opportunity to handle skins and feathers, and had fun trying to recognise which category each belonged to. Despite the rainy day they all had a fantastic and informative trip.
