Peter and the Wolf at Wilberforce House

Wilberforce House girls had a very special treat on Monday when The Chamberhouse Winds group came to perform the classic favourite “Peter and the Wolf” live.  The girls listened to the wonderful music, which also included a rendition of “The Flight of the Bumblebee”, and the Year 3 girls had a special treat after the show was over as they were able to have ago on the various instruments used in the performance, including the flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet and French horn.

The Chamberhouse Winds quintet have been providing high quality chamber music for recitals and celebrations since 2005.

On Sunday 15th June at 3pm Chamberhouse Winds are performing a special performance of Paddington Bear’s First Concert at the Rose Theatre, Kingston featuring narration by Virginia McKenna. The concert will start with a sing-along, followed by a rendition of The Carnival of the Animals. After the performance children are welcome to try out the instruments.
