The audience was delighted by the readings and recitals of poetry selected by the finalists from Years 2 and 3. We were thrilled to welcome back Mrs Joyce Nicol, ex- Headmistress of The Study to the school as our guest adjudicator for the event. All the finalists did themselves proud, and recited their chosen works beautifully – it was extremely difficult to select a winner from each class, and Mrs Nicol had a challenging task. After much deliberation, the winners were announced as follows:
Year 2 Yellow: Tara Joshi, “Little Things”, by Julia Carney
Year 2 Blue: Allegra Delli Rocioli, “Books” by Grace Andreacchi
Year 3C: Isabelle Raaff, “I’m not Scared of the Monster” by John Foster
Year 3H: Poppy Joyce, “Falling Asleep in Class” by Ken Nesbit
