Making Music for a Worthy Cause

On Saturday evening The Study’s Chamber Choir, as well as the Year 3 Junior Cello Club, took part in a wonderful evening of music making for a very worthy cause.  The concert, which showcased folk music, was organised by Faith in Action, a charity that helps the homeless and the vulnerably housed with somewhere to live, online job applications and other practical help.  The venue was St Mark’s Church in Wimbledon, and the audience were delighted by the Chamber choir’s rendition of the traditional American folk song, “O Shenandoah”, followed by the cellists playing Hungarian Folk Song.  It was a lovely opportunity for the girls to perform, and all for a very worthy cause.  Well done to all the musicians that took part!
