The musical tale of Matilda

Year 5 and 6 take to the stage in a dazzling performance.

The Study's production of Matilda The Musical JR was performed to packed auditorium of parents and pupils across four shows this week.

Pupils from Year 5 and 6 have been working flat out since they returned to school in September to bring the show to stage.

Matilda is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Head of Drama Claire Kirkby said: "What a pleasure it has been to work with such a talented group of girls, cast and back stage crew.

Learning the songs and putting this show together has meant so much to us all in so many ways and it was amazing to see the girls shine on the stage and the audience enjoying themselves.

The feedback from parents on the confident performances that exploded in a riot of colour has been overwhelming.  I think this is the only occasion we'll find ourselves describing Study girls as revolting!"
