A welcome message from
Mrs Susan Pepper, MA (Oxon), NPQH, Headmistress
Welcome! I am delighted to introduce The Study Preparatory School to you through our website, which I feel reflects the essence and ethos of our wonderful school. I hope that you will find it aesthetically pleasing and simple to navigate, and that it will be easy to find the information that you require. And for our existing parents, you will find all the letters, detailed term dates, and other information relevant to you in your secure Parents' Area.
Our two beautiful school buildings nestle in the heart of Wimbledon Common and Village. The breadth of academic achievement, the wealth of creative opportunities and most of all our happy, stimulated girls define The Study as one of the leading prep schools for girls in South West London. We pride ourselves on our reputation for academic and creative excellence and for nurturing well-rounded, confident, caring girls with a love of learning, a broad outlook, good manners and a real zest for life. Our girls go on to leading senior schools, and 2019 has been another very successful year for our Year 6 group, with no less than 25 scholarships offered by top senior schools. Do take a look at our school video, which, in just a few short minutes, will give you an in-depth feel of what The Study is about. The school celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2018, and we are justly proud of our rich history. As you will have read on our news page, I am retiring at the end of the summer term 2020, after a decade leading The Study. I am delighted that Ms Victoria Ellis will be taking over the headship in September 2020, and will continue to develop the school whilst retaining its unique ethos.
Finally, as much as our website will give you a good overview of who we are, nothing can compare to coming along and seeing for yourself all the elements that make The Study Preparatory School such a unique and special place. I warmly invite you to come and meet with me, have a look around the school on a normal busy day, and discuss how we can bring out the very best in your daughter.
I look forward to welcoming you.
