4 +

Our main point of entry is Reception Class for girls aged 4+.

Before completing a registration form, you are very welcome to visit the School on our next Open Morning, and/or to book a place on one of our regular school tours when there will be an opportunity to meet the Headmistress, staff and girls.

Once registered, you and your daughter will be sent invitations to further Open Days.

Places are offered on the basis of a ballot which takes place in the May preceding the year of entry. We will let you know the outcome of this ballot immediately.

September 2020:  Due to relocation, we currently have a rare place available for your daughter to join us in Reception 2020.  Please email our Head of Admissions, Katie Salt on for further details.

Our Ballot for Reception 2021 places took place on 15 May.  If you would like to be added to our waiting list, email Head of Admissions Katie Salt on:

Girls who are not offered a definite place at this stage, can remain on the waiting list. These girls will be offered places should anyone be unable to take up their place. Girls who register after the ballot has been conducted will be added to this waiting list.

Sisters of current pupils are guaranteed a place, but a separate registration form will be needed for each child.

Once your daughter has been offered a place, you are welcome to visit the School again, and to meet the Headmistress before deciding whether or not to accept the offer. A non-refundable deposit of a half term's fees is required to secure the place.

In the Summer Term prior to joining The Study, we will invite you to our 'New Reception Parents' Event'. This is a social and information event at which you will meet the class teachers, nursery nurses, senior staff and members of the Study Association. You will be given:

  • The Study School Parents' Handbook
  • Reception Class Brochure/Welcome Pack
  • Reception Pre-Entry Form
  • Emergency Contact Form
  • Class List
  • Term Dates
  • Any other relevant information

Following this, we look forward to your daughter joining us for an informal afternoon at The Study where she will meet her teacher, nursery nurse and the other girls in her class.
