The School
The Study is a Preparatory School for girls aged from 4 to 11. Founded in 1893 by Miss Sidford, a governess who taught in the study of a large house in Wimbledon, the school moved first to a church hall and then in 1903 to purpose-built premises in Peek Crescent, now known as Spencer House.
In 1975 the school became a registered charity, with a Board of Governors.
Numbers grew and the school acquired a second building in 1992: Wilberforce House, in Camp Road.
We have approximately 335 girls in the school, with two parallel classes in each year group.
