On Saturday 16th May, our girls arrived at Woldingham School raring to go. The Year 5 girls started the day with a fantastic win against CLFS scoring a total of 10 rounders. They went on to win their games against Thomas’s Fulham, Putney High and a draw vs Thomas’s Battersea. The girls fielding was excellent, they communicated well with each other, preventing the opposition from scoring many rounders to ensure they were through to the semi-finals.
Next the girls were up against Holy Cross, a very good team with great batting skills. Our girls again demonstrated excellent fielding skills and The Study won the match 4 ½ rounders to 3. This Year 5 team made it through to the Final against Thomas’s Clapham, which proved a tough match, the final score was The Study 4 rounders, Thomas’s Clapham 5 ½. This ensured 2nd place for The Study, the girls should be very proud of their efforts, they did The Study proud!
The Year 6 team came 4th in their section, again demonstrating some excellent fielding and batting techniques. The Year 6 team had a very tough section but again they played some outstanding rounders and should be pleased with their efforts and excellent teamwork.
