Standing proudly on one of Wimbledon Village’s many leafy and peaceful residential roads is The Study’s attractive Spencer House, the site for our older girls between Year 4 and Year 6.
Spencer House provides a more “grown up” atmosphere and environment that give the girls a sense of their increasing maturity and independence. In addition to well equipped classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, the building also houses: a large hall, complete with stage, a modern ICT suite; a fully equipped science laboratory; a professional art studio;a drama studio, a wealth of music rooms and a well stocked library. The playground, incorporating a netball court, is securely situated to the rear of the building and the wide range of games available ensures that the girls have plenty to occupy them at break and lunch play.
Increasingly, the girls are taught by specialist teachers to encourage them to explore subjects in greater depth, inspire their curiosity, develop subject specific learning skills, and further engender a love of learning. By the age of eleven, our girls are well prepared for the challenges of interviews and entrance examinations at their chosen senior schools.
