Academic & Curriculum
In Reception, teaching is based on the Foundation Stage Curriculum. In the rest of the school, our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum, but is not limited by it, and there is increasing emphasis on preparing for senior school 11+ examinations as girls move through the school.
Girls are given a strong foundation in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, but also enjoy a broad range of other subjects including Humanities, French, Art, ICT, DT, Music, Ballet, Drama and PE. There is specialist teaching in many subjects throughout the school. Girls also have the opportunity to develop their social education through our PSHE programme.
The curriculum at The Study is designed to be balanced, creative and rigorous; through it, we aim to challenge and stretch our pupils and to enable them to develop their individual abilities and interests.
