Key Stage 1

The Pre-prep Department comprises Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Each Reception and Year 1 class has a full-time nursery nurse as well as their teacher. At this stage the children enjoy a balance of language, number, artistic and physical activities each day. The curriculum is largely covered by different projects each term or half term, which bring together Science, History, Geography and Art, as well as some aspects of English and Maths.

Our Reception classes follow the Foundation Stage guidelines. Thereafter our curriculum is based on, but not limited by, the demands of the National Curriculum, and the entry requirements of boarding and day schools at 11+.
