School Community

The Study is very much a family school, encompassing the girls, their parents and all the staff. We want your daughters to feel part of our community, secure and valued within it, to contribute as much as they can and to look after the welfare and happiness of each other.

Our rules are simple and based on common sense and consideration for the other members of our community. We encourage enterprise and initiative, and this is often expressed as a contribution towards our charity collections. Girls arrange cake sales and out of school events, as well as collecting money weekly. Each term we support a different charity and speakers visit and talk to the girls about their organisations. In this way we not only raise money for charity, but the girls gain a better knowledge of the wider world.

We value parents' support for all the work we do in school. Many have come in to talk to a class, and even the whole school, on a subject in which they have specific expertise. A school handbook goes home each year, explaining the running of the school, parents' evenings, reports etc. In addition we are always happy to talk to parents at any time by appointment.

The Study Association is run by parents for parents and supports the school with many successful social and fundraising events.
