Reception

Places for Reception will be drawn by ballot in the May of the year before entry. The first 48 names drawn out of the hat wil be offered firm places. All further names drawn out will be given a number on the Wait List.

Girls unsuccessful for Reception entry may have their papers moved forward to the year of their choice i.e. 5+, 6+, 7+, 8+ or 9+.

Reception registrations received after the ballot has taken place are accepted by the school and added to the Wait List.

Occasional Places at 5+, 6+, 7+, 8+, and 9+

Assessments are held in the Spring Term of the year of possible entry. Places are offered according to the assessment results and the number of places available. There is a short informal assessment at 5+ and 6+ and a longer formal written assessment for 7+, 8+ and 9+.

The main intake at the school is a 4+. All other places are occasional vacancies.
